A woman has allegedly been attacked by an armed teen gang outside her Gold Coast home.
The woman’s husband noticed a group of teenagers loitering by his car parked outside their Nerang home at about 11pm on Tuesday, according to a Sunrise report.
It was reported the situation quickly escalated after the man confronted the teenagers, one of whom was brandishing what appeared to be an axe.
The man’s wife was allegedly set upon by the group when she came outside and was struck across the face with a plastic wheel chock, it was reported on Sunrise.
Photos included in the Sunrise report depicted the woman with bruising and swelling to her left eye.
Paramedics were called to Pine Grove St, Nerang about 11.15pm on Tuesday following an alleged assault, according to the Queensland Ambulance Service.
A woman was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition with a head laceration.
The Queensland Police Service has been contacted for comment.
