A man has been arrested by police over a number of alleged incidents at Mermaid Beach targeting multiple businesses.
A Queensland Police Service (QPS) spokesman said officers were called to an address on the Gold Coast Highway just after 7pm on Monday.
It was reported a male had caused a disturbance at about four businesses, the QPS spokesman said.
The Bulletin understands the incidents involved a pizza store, massage parlour, bottle shop and a snooker/pool venue.
The QPS spokesman said a man had been taken into custody, however, details were still being investigated.
Officers were in the process of formally charging the man who was expected to face Southport Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
