Tradie describes crash into home

A tradie has described how the front of a Pimpama home was left a crumbling mess after a car ploughed into it on Monday morning.

The black Mercedes first damaged a low concrete wall on Hurley Street before continuing into the home just before 8am.

Tradie Jack Ciolac gave a detailed and expletive ridden account of what he saw on a video posted to Snapchat.

“F***ing eventful morning,” he said.

“This junkie chick in the Mercedes f***ing fanged it up the f***ing roundabout, boom hit the island, boom hit the island, fishtailed.

“Almost f***ing nailed my car … fanged it up the road … boom, crashed into the neighbours house.

“Nice way to start the Monday.”

Mr Ciolac said he was sitting in his ute with workmate Lachlan Sacharkiw at 7.45am when the car allegedly sped “full pedal” through a road sign.

“She was so close we could see the freckles on her face,” Mr Sacharkiw said.

“I reckon I was shaken up for almost half an hour afterwards.”

The tradies say they raced over to the scene and allegedly found the driver “unconscious at the wheel”.

A neighbour also arrived on the “scary” scene and said when he heard the smash he thought the house the tradies were working on had collapsed.

“I’ve never got out of bed so fast,” he told the Bulletin.

“I thought someone had smashed into my house.

“The family are still in shock, which is fair enough.”

He estimated the family had only been living there for 12 months when the car crashed into a small garden wall and into their home.

The brick lower part of the home was left crumbling, and a window hanging.

Panels just above the brick were also damaged.

Paramedics took the driver to hospital.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said it is not clear what caused the crash.

Investigations are continuing.
