King’s Christian College front-rower Clayton Terita was the architect of another strong performance from his school in the Associated Private Schools competition, scoring two tries from hooker.
The latter was an impressive runaway as King’s went close to 100m, with the 100 kilogram-plus Terita showing off a clean pair of heels to finish the spectacular counter-attack late in the match.
Legendary Palm Beach Currumbin Alleygators premiership-winning player and coach Ryan Roberts said his team’s forward pack stepped up when conditions needed them to.
“That game was always going to be a war of attrition, especially when it’s wet,” the King’s First XV coach said.
“Learning how to play in this weather against a team with good athletes like All Saints was really tough.
“Clayton scored two tries, Koji Goulding played really well with some strong carries and Flynn Carson put in some good, solid tackles.
