PALM BEACH Currumbin coach Chad Owens says there will be no excuse for his players to leave anything in the tank as they prepare to go into a bye before making the most of a favourable run home to the finals.
The reigning premiers and competition leaders will play out an expected blockbuster against second-placed Broadbeach today at their home of Salk Oval.
Palm Beach Currumbin have navigated their way through a tough month-and-a-half, playing five of the past six games away.

SHARKS DESTINY IN OWN HANDS: FIELD
They lost just one, their only loss of the season, and today’s Round 15 game is the start of four home games before the finals.
“We have the bye next week so there is no excuse for leaving anything in the tank,” Owens said.
“We have a week off to recover so we expect our guys to go flat out.”
Palm Beach Currumbin have made six changes to last weekend’s side who beat Western Magpies, with Jarryd Douglas and Callum McBurnie out with concussions, Brock Askey and James Holland out with hamstring injuries and Josh Woolley (groin) and Mitchell Johnson (NEAFL) also set to miss out.
But Owens said the side would field a team just as strong with the replacements including Jack Anthony, Thomas Thynne, Dale Neuhaus, Cory Beaman, Riley Mayne and Corey Joyce.
Palm Beach Currumbin last met the Cats in Round 6 of the season where they recorded a 21-point win over their rivals.
The first quarter proved the difference in that game and Owens said he was expecting another tough encounter.
“It should be a good game and their team looks bloody strong,” Owens said.
“The competition is pretty close. They are second and a game clear so and they are winning games of footy.”
