FOUR Gold Coast Suns fans have taken it upon themselves to build the excitement around the club’s Round 19 game against Carlton.
James Hunt, Josh Capuano, Sam McCorriston and the aptly named Oscar Stevens turned what was a birthday celebration at Emerald Lakes, located adjacent to Gold Coast’s home ground at Metricon Stadium, into an opportunity to put their videography skills to the test in an effort to create a buzz around a side gunning for back-to-back wins tomorrow.

Dramatic background music, demonstrations of athletic prowess - that could have easily ended in injury - and some serious camera pans make up the lighthearted movie trailer.
The video gained traction and the group had the likes of Suns co-captain Steven May, Touk Miller and Lachie Weller responding on social media.
Hunt, who came up with the idea, said he was surprised by the response and had now started a campaign to have the video shown on the big screen in the moments before the game.
“We’re avid Suns fans and love going to the games and wanted to create a bit of social media hype around this weekend’s game,” Hunt said.
“We were especially excited after the win against the (Sydney) Swans last weekend.
“Once we made the movie, we were pretty stoked with it and sent it out to some friends who convinced us to post it on Facebook and send it to some players on Instagram to let them know we were behind them.
“It all kind of blew up then with players replying and people sharing it around AFL fan Facebook groups.
“Our dream would be to show the trailer in the pre-game at Metricon to get the atmosphere buzzing, and also to sing the song with the boys after we win on Saturday night.
“We also want the Gold Coast to get behind the Suns because there’s plenty of places in Australia that don’t have an AFL team to represent them, so it’d be awesome to see Gold Coasters get behind the team.”
