THE Gold Coast’s newest luxury tower will have its own specialised surfboard storage facilities.

Developer Trenert Investments has put forward plans for a 32-storey highrise in Main Beach, just a short walk from the beach.

The medium-rise Woodroffe Ave building will have just 28 units, including a two-level, four-bedroom penthouse.

Features include a surfboard storage area, hairdressing rooms, a 24m lap pool and outdoor terraces.

The tower will have 85 bedrooms and will replace a pair of two-storey residential properties.

The proposed highrise will take on the lower three levels of the tower and will have about 865sq m of communal space for residents.

There will be 67 spaces for carparking.

City planning boss Cr Cameron Caldwell said proposals for lower-density boutique towers were becoming increasingly common.

The Trenert Investments project is the second “skyhome” tower proposed for Main Beach in the past week.

Developer Mangomero last week put forward its own 21-storey tower for Pacific Parade.
