An Instagram influencer will fight drugs charges against him after a raid on his Gold Coast home.

Troy Kenneth Williams, who uses the moniker “Troy Candy” on social media, appeared briefly in Southport Magistrates Court on Tuesday charged with possessing dangerous drugs and buying or possessing a hazardous poison.

Teacher laughed after pushing private school student with foot

A private school teacher who used his foot to push a child on the back while she was picking up rubbish from a garden bed, laughed as he walked away from the incident, a court has been told.

Travis Ronald Templar claims that at the time he thought he was having “friendly banter” with the student and actually said “whoop” when he pushed the child.

A young Gold Coaster glassed another man at a rooftop bar after “sleazy comments” were made about his girlfriend.

Marc Kristian Layzell claimed the glass slipped when he was throwing a drink in the other man’s face at The Island Rooftop Bar, Surfers Paradise about 10pm on November 21 last year.

A former apprentice chef who launched himself into a brawl in a nightclub toilet had no memory of what happened.

Jack Isaac Waterman saw a fight start in the toilets at the Bedroom Lounge Bar in Surfers Paradise on November 13 last year and grabbed a man by the throat and slammed him into a wall.
