Described as “the biggest nightclub on the Gold Coast”, Shooters offers two large dancefloors featuring two different types of music. When you’ve had enough popping and locking in the RnB room, you can shuffle your way over to the main floor for EDM and house music. Shooters is preparing for a huge Schoolies week with an event happening every night.
9. SinCity Nightclub
22 Orchid Ave, Surfers Paradise
COAST’S BEST BARTENDERS AS VOTED BY YOU
SinCity is famous for its sophisticated style with a swish, carpeted interior, sleek bars and elevated booths to dance or people watch. “It’s the most well-known (club) on the Coast,” manager Tim Martin says. “We’ve had some really big acts come through — Chris Brown, T Pain, Little John, a lot of movie stars. It’s a brand that seems to always be out there, and is synonymous with the Gold Coast.”
8. Love Nightlife
Albert Ave, Broadbeach
WHERE IS THE GOLD COAST’S BEST SURF CLUB?
Love Nightlife director Elliot Wicks says his nightclub focuses on affordable VIP bottle service where the drinks are brought to you. “We offer the ultimate VIP experience from $200. We have the facilities and the space with 14 booths to offer VIP packages. Every Saturday night we book out.” Love will host its quarterly Season Launch party on December 1.

THREE DAY EURO DANCE PARTY HEADED FOR THE GOLD COAST
There’s no snoozing in your pyjamas at this nightclub — Bedroom hosts wild parties Wednesday to Sunday nights until 5am. “Bedroom won (Best of the Gold Coast) the last two years in a row,” general manager Tim Martin says. “We’re quite lucky because it has a big local following, but the tourists enjoy it too.”
5. Elsewhere
1/23 Cavill Ave, Surfers Paradise
COAST’S NEWEST FAST FOOD LOCATION REVEALED
You’re never alone at Elsewhere, even if you’re rocking it solo. In the heart of a night-life strip dedicated to commercial music, this small club dares to go against the grain by booking underground DJs spinning authentic beats. “Our ethos is power to the individual,” owner Benny Roney says. “I’m very proud of the fact ladies come there on their own. It’s more about talking to each other. We’ve had 9000 acts over the years — my favourites have been Tame Impala, Flume and Mylo.”

Top 40 is taboo at Platinum, a club with a focus on world-class music. The venue dishes out serious dance beats every weekend through its resident DJs and music guests. “To hear music you would hear if you were at a big festival or some of the most famous clubs in Europe, that’s what Platinum strives for,” Platinum director Rachelle Woods says. “Our resident DJ team of Flash, Tom Bromley, Tommy and Nightrider alongside weekly international and interstate guests makes for the perfect party destination.”
3. Underground Nightclub
3 Orchid Ave, Surfers Paradise
GC600 FILLS COAST BARS WITH CELEBRITIES
Underground Nightclub is the spot to drop it like it’s hot and get out of your seat and jump around. The four-year-old venue on Orchid Ave plays RnB exclusively, a tactic that’s seen it develop a loyal following. “We have a great relationship with our patrons and have a lot of regulars that tell me they come here because we stick to RnB and don’t change that,” manager Jodi Miller says. “We’ve had Sean Kingston perform live, and we also get visits from NRL players.”

ICONIC SURFERS PUB TO BE TRANSFORMED IN TO NEW VENUE
1. Rattlesnake Motel
23 McLean St, Coolangatta
THE CRAZIEST SCHOOLIES MOMENTS OF THE LAST 18 YEARS
This Coolangatta club says there’s no point trying to cover up a wild night with glitter and cocktails — the punters love a sweaty dancefloor and loud music.
“It’s just a proper, safe party with like-minded people with no pretension,” director Tim Poulton says. “It’s a straight-up, dark, sweaty, full nightclub experience.”

Rattle Snake has evolved from a quiet watering hole to a pumping party precinct, as the staff honed in on what worked and amplified it.
“It used to be an old bar you’d see in a Quentin Tarantino film,” Tim says. “We’ve gone through so many changes and turned it in to what it should be. It’s based around music — party music, house, bass, trap, hip hop, a little techno.”
