Gold Coast Development: KFC Franchisee plans new drive-through Southport restaurant

ONE of the world’s leading fast food franchisees whose brands included Taco Bell, KFC and Sizzlers will open a new drive-through restaurant on one of the Gold Coast’s busiest roads.

ONE of the world’s leading fast food franchisees will open a new drive-through restaurant on one of the Gold Coast’s busiest roads.

Collins Restaurants Management has filed plans for a new eatery on Southport’s Ferry Road.

Earmarked for a site formerly used by car hire company Budget, it would featured both dining and drive-through facilities.

Collins is a Brisbane-based company which is the owner of Sizzlers in Australia, Taco Bell and more than 226 KFC stores across the country and in Europe.

The plans will go before council early next year.
