Trail bike rider, car driver dead after two crashes in regional NSW

A male dirt bike rider and a female driver have died after two separate fatal crashes in regional NSW.

A young dirt bike rider and a female driver, in her 70s, have died in separate regional road crashes.

A dirt bike and Nissan Elgrand collided on the Great Western Hwy, Kelso, about 10.30pm on Thursday.

The 22-year-old male bike rider was treated by paramedics at the scene but died as he was being transported to hospital.

A second dirt bike rider, a man aged 23, was found nearby but was unhurt.

The Nissan driver, a 38-year-old man, was uninjured but taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Police have established a crime scene and are appealing for witnesses or any dashcam vision of the incident.

The 72-year-old woman died in a single vehicle crash in Albury on Thursday afternoon.

Police were told a Ford Falcon station wagon was travelling north along Kwong-Howlong Rd, Brocklesby about 4.40pm when it crossed double lines and left the road, hitting a tree.

The woman died at the scene despite the efforts of emergency services.

Albury police also established a crime scene and are calling for anyone with information to come forward.
A report will be prepared for the coroner for both crashes.
