A man has been charged after allegedly threatening staff with a firearm at a Sydney bar early Wednesday morning.
Police were called to a sports bar on Anzac Parade in Kingsford around 4.45am on Wednesday morning, responding to reports of a man armed with a firearm.
Officers from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command attended the scene where staff reported a man had allegedly pulled a firearm on them after being denied entry to the premises.
Following police inquiries, 37-year-old Adrian Freedman was arrested nearby and officers located a semi-automatic Glock pistol replica discarded in a bin a short distance away.
The man was taken to Maroubra Police Station and charged with entering a building with a imitation firearm, possessing and using unauthorised prohibited firearm.
He was refused bail at Waverley Local Court on Wednesday, and is next scheduled to appear on 18 June at the same court.
