Jackson Watson accused of stalking woman

The love child of dual international Wendell Sailor has been arrested and charged over allegations he stalked an ex-girlfriend whom he swindled.

The love child of former rugby league and union player Wendell Sailor has been arrested for allegedly stalking and intimidating a young woman who he allegedly defrauded.

Jackson Watson, 23, the son of Brisbane Broncos and Wallabies legend Wendell Sailor, has been accused of assaulting, stalking and defrauding his 24-year-old ex-girlfriend.

Watson, a former rugby league player who was born in 1998 after a post-match fling, was arrested at a unit on The Kingsway in Caringbah on Friday.

has been accused of defrauding a woman of $40,000.

He was taken to Kogarah Police Station, where he was charged with common assault (DV), stalking and intimidating and making false documents to obtain financial advantage.

He was granted conditional bail to front Sutherland Local Court on Wednesday.

His brother Tristan Sailor is due to face trial after police allege sexually assault a woman after a night of drinking - allegations he has denied.

Half-brothers Watson and Sailor are the same age and developed a strong bond while growing up playing representative rugby league.

Father Wendell Sailor only learned of his son Jackson’s existence in 1998, just two months after his other son Tristan was born.

A letter arrived in the mail advising him the baby in the accompanying photograph was his son.

Wendell is a four-time premiership winner who represented Australia in both rugby league and rugby union.

He retired in 2009 after an almost two-decade career in which he played with the Brisbane Broncos, St George Illawarra Dragons and Wallabies.
