IT is a result that could well seal the Sydney Uni Flames a spot in the playoffs of this seasons WNBL and import Asia Taylor played a major role in it.
The American guard made sure the 90-78 result was the right one with a stirring performance for her team in round 15 to earn Swoop Play of the Weekend.
Other winners of the Play of the Week or Weekend award include rugby sevens star Charlotte Caslick, Jillaroos captain Ruan Sims surfer Layne Beachley, and Diamonds shooter Caitlin Bassett.
The Flames won the split with Perth Lynx thanks to their 12-point win at home in a crucial stage of the WNBL.
MITCHELL CALLS FOR WNBL TO FOLLOW NETBALL
The result came after the two sides had been locked together at three-quarter time.
But a stunning performance from Taylor helped the momentum swing in the favour of the Flames.
Taylor pulled in a season high 32 points, along with nine rebounds and four assists.
The American import has twice won WNBL Play of the Week and been in multiple Teams of the Weeks but now wins her first Swoop Play of the Weekend award
