JUST two days ago Lisa Darmanin left the water in tears.
On Wednesday morning she left it to go and collect a silver medal with her cousin and skipper Jason Waterhouse.
The Sydney sailors finished second in the new Olympic mixed class, the Nacra 17, in Rio after a gritty fightback in the polluted Rio waters.
And for this she earns Swoop Play of the Day.
The cousins ended up just a single point off gold but their comeback for silver was still quite remarkable.
A bad day earlier this week saw the cousins plumett from first to fourth and put their challenge for a medal of any colour in serious jeopardy.
But rallying, the pair came out hard in the final, double-points medal race, to finish the regatta with a silver.
The medal comes at their first Olympic Games together and bodes well for Tokyo in four years time.
Earlier team mate Tom Burton ended a three day drought to win gold in the single-handed Laser class.
“It is a little bit bitter sweet,’’ Darmanin said.
“I am not going to lie. But we sailed an incredible medal race. We could not have done any more out there.”
