An real estate agency has broken its silence after two staff were slapped with serious criminal charges.

In recent months, Ray White Woollahra agents Augusto Gerocarni Putrino and Phoenix Tysonn have been embroiled in court proceedings.

Putrino has been charged with four counts of assault causing actual bodily harm, pertaining to alleged incident spanning from September 2021 to July 2022.

He was also charged with a common assault regarding an incident on June 29, 2022.

The 29-year-old is further charged with attempting to stalk or intimidate his former partner between November 13 2021 and July 2 2022, and with intentionally or recklessly destroying or damaging property in respect to his ex’s iPhone.

Gerocarni’s lawyer Justin Drew of McGirr & Associates entered not guilty pleas on Thursday after revealing his client couldn’t attend court due to illness.

The police prosecutor told the court a mini brief of evidence had been served and the matter was set down for hearing next year.

Ray White principal Clay Brodie told this publication the agency acknowledged the assault charges against Augusto Gerocarni.

“Mr Gerocarni is a contractor to our business and he has not attended our offices nor conducted open homes since he was charged. We have been advised by Mr Gerocarni that he denies all the charges and will fight the allegations in court,” he said.

“Today he pleaded not guilty and is entitled to the presumption of innocence while the case is being heard so we cannot speak about the charges. We are not aware of any other allegations against Mr Gerocarni”.

Mr Brodie said its “team of professionals are united to continue to offer exemplary care for all our clients, aligning with our business’ exacting standards”.

It continued: “As a business, we remain dedicated to upholding the highest standards of professionalism”.

Mr Brodie said the company will continue to monitor any developments in this case as they arise.

As for Phoenix Tysonn, Mr Brodie said he was “no longer an employee of our group” after he was convicted and sentenced to nine months’ jail after pleading guilty to domestic violence related assault occasioning actual bodily harm and common assault.

The Paddington man launched an appeal and was granted bail with his matter adjourned to the Queanbeyan District Court in November.

Putrino will defend his charges on February 1, 2024.
