A police officer has been charged with allegedly assaulting three teenage girls and one women on the NSW south coast, just weeks after another senior constable faced court for similar charges involving an unrelated event.
The 37-year-old southern region police officer was charged with four counts of common assault, following the alleged incident at a Batemans Bay shopping centre on Sunday, October 29.
Police attended the scene where the officer had allegedly assaulted two 13-year-old girls, one 17-year-old girl and a 49-year-old woman.
He was charged on November 7 following an investigation into the alleged incident, and is set to appear before Batemans Bay Local Court on November 25.
The allegations come after a separate southern region senior constable, 37-year-old Brett Lindsay, was charged in September with two counts of common assault, after allegedly assaulting two 17-year-old girls in an unrelated incident at a Batemans Bay shopping centre.
Lindsay has appeared before Batemans Bay Local Court, however is yet to enter pleas.
