Police arrest man for alleged sexual abuse of 13-year-old girl after giving her alcohol, drugs
A family friend, who allegedly gave a 13-year-old girl alcohol and drugs before sexually assaulting her in Belfield last year, has been arrested.

Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad officers have charged a man over the alleged sexual and indecent assault of a teenage girl in Belfield, south west Sydney, last year.
The strike force detectives arrested a 22-year-old man — a family friend — at Burwood Local Court about 10am on Thursday, following extensive investigations.
The man was charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault — victim under the age of 16 years, and indecent assault person under 16 years of age.
“Police will allege in court that the man, who was a family friend, gave the girl alcohol and drugs before sexually and indecently assaulting her at a home in Belfield on Friday, August 31, 2018 and Sunday, September 2, 2018
He was refused bail to appear at Burwood Local Court today.
Detectives began investigating following reports a 13-year-old girl had been sexually assaulted by a man known to her in November 2018.
