Bankstown man charged after Luger-style, Glock replica guns found in airconditioner unit
A Bankstown man is facing charges after police allegedly located Luger-style pistol and a replica Glock-style firearm inside an airconditioner at his home.

A Luger-style pistol and a replica Glock-style firearm have been allegedly found in an airconditioner at a Bankstown home.
Bankstown police charged a 30-year-old Bankstown man with a number of firearm offences, including possessing pistol, possessing prohibited weapon and possessing ammunition.
Police said they were doing a firearms prohibition order (FBO) search at the unit at Restwell St, Bankstown, on Tuesday, June 25, when they allegedly found the guns inside an airconditioner.
“About 1.30pm on Tuesday, Bankstown detectives attended a unit in Restwell Street to execute a Firearms Prohibition Order,” a police spokesman said.
“Police allege they located a Luger-style pistol containing a magazine and a replica Glock-style firearm in an air conditioner.
“The items were seized and will be forensically examined.
“A 30-year-old man was arrested and taken to Bankstown Police Station.
“He was refused bail and appeared at Bankstown Local Court (Wednesday, June 26), where he was remanded in custody and will re-appear on Wednesday, July 24.
