Ammunition rounds and small quantities of illegal drugs have been allegedly seized from a home at Chester Hill, with a woman being charged over the ammunition.
Bankstown Local Area Command detectives executed a search warrant on the home on Tuesday night after receiving information that occupants of a home on Elke Crescent were in possession of firearms and prohibited drugs.
“A 26-year-old female, who was in the house, has been charged with possessing ammunition,” Bankstown Acting Inspector Peter Campton told the Express.
“She has been given a Future Court Attendance Notice to appear at Bankstown Local Court at a date to be fixed.”
Bankstown officers, assisted by the Bass Hill Region Enforcement Squad (RES), executed a search warrant on the premises at 8.40pm.
They seized four rounds of firearm ammunition and three small amounts of suspected prohibited drugs (cocaine, cannabis and methylamphetamine).
Police said inquiries are continuing.
