Police seize drugs, weapons in Sydney’s southwest
Strike force detectives have uncovered a large amount of drugs and weapons inside a warehouse allegedly connected to a large-scale drug supply network operating in southern Sydney.

Strike force police have seized drugs and a cache of weapons and ammunition as part of an ongoing investigation into drug supply across Sydney which has seen three men charged.
Raptor Squad detectives established Strike Force Caste to investigate the supply and distribution of prohibited drugs and dealing with proceeds of crime in October 2022.
Police searched three properties across southern Sydney after a fire at a home on Austral Street, Kogarah, on Monday.
At the scene, police found a 51-year-old man outside the home who had suffered burns to his hands, legs and face. He was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious condition.
Jason Gerges, 30, and Jason Khoury, 37, were arrested and charged following the search warrant.
Gerges and Khoury appeared in Sutherland Local Court on Wednesday charged with two counts of supplying a large commercial quantity of drugs, totalling 6.82kg of cocaine, which was allegedly seized during their arrest on Tuesday morning at Kogarah.
They were both charged with dealing with the proceeds of crime after officers allegedly found, during a search warrant, $15,090 in cash at Gerges’ Campsie home while Khoury allegedly had $2550 at his Hurstville address.
Gerges also faces two charges of supplying prohibited drugs being 6.64g of cocaine and 3.08g of MDMA, which was also allegedly found at his home.
On the other side of Sydney, the 51-year-old man was also arrested at Royal North Shore Hospital and charged with supplying large commercial quantities of prohibited drugs and refused bail.
He also remains before the court.
Following further inquiries, officers searched an industrial warehouse on Kellaway Pl, Wetherill Park about 8am on Thursday.
Police seized several items including about 14.8kg of crystal methamphetamine, 292g of MDMA, 176g of cocaine and about 8L of GHB.
An allegedly stolen Mercedes, an SKS rifle, a P22 Walther pistol, a Colt pistol, a Beretta pistol, an F32 pistol, a silencer, a Savage model 1907 pistol, a Remington revolver, a homemade firearm, two homemade pistols, 10 magazines for various firearms and 300-400 rounds of ammunition were also seized.
The items will undergo forensic examination.
