Police are on the hunt for two men who allegedly smashed their way into a school in western Sydney and tried to set its library on fire.
Emergency services were called to the school in Greystanes about 6.15am on Thursday after smoke was seen coming out of a building, police say.
Police believe the fire was the work of two males, who allegedly smashed a window of the school’s library about 4.20am before setting several books alight and trying to spread the fire.
The blaze was put out by NSW Fire and Rescue service, with police now investigating what and who might be behind the aggravated break-and-enter.
