Foodie festival, A Taste of Manly, takes place on the weekend of May 28-29

With 15 restaurants, 12 wineries and four breweries, here’s what not to miss at this weekend’s Manly festival favourite, A Taste of Manly

Manly beachfront is ready and waiting. This year’s foodie festival, A Taste of Manly, promises to be bigger and better with plenty of food and entertainment for all ages.

The weekend event showcases 15 local restaurants, 12 wineries and four peninsula breweries.

Foodies can sample an international smorgasbord of culinary tasting plates featuring everything from Hugos’ award-winning pizzas to oysters with champagne vinegar from Manly Wine and crab burgers from Bluewater Cafe.

The beachfront beer garden will have live music and feature beer from four local boutique breweries. 4 Pines, Nomad, Modus Operandi and Dad & Dave’s Brewing.

Event-goers must purchase a A Taste of Manly glass for $10 and $5 tokens for each drink.

The line up of musicians on the oceanfront stage includes Ed Wells. The local performer will be onstage today from 11.30am; Little Coyote and Winston Surfshirt are also playing today.

Saturday’s line up includes the Vicky Turner Band at 1pm and the Dirty Martinis at 2.30pm.

Hotel Steyne’s Moonshine Stage features DJ Jake McCann and The Vanns today; while DJ JC and Sea Gypsies are playing on Sunday.

There will also be pop up wine stalls and a prosecco and oyster bar in the pub.

Be prepared for crowds.

Northern Beaches Council said that as many as 30,000 people can attend the event over the weekend.

A Taste of Manly is on this weekend from 11.30am-5pm.
