A young mother’s rapid decline into drugs and links to “unsavoury” people has landed her in Forster court facing a long list of drug, driving and aggravated break and enter charges.

Chloe Jade Ransley appeared in Forster Local Court on Thursday, April 13 charged with a range of offences including aggravated break and enter in company -steal; and dishonestly obtaining financial advantage and property by deception.

The court heard the majority of offending occured in a relatively short period of time late last year after what magistrate Allison Hawkins described as a “quick decline” into drugs and links with “unsavoury” people.

Ransley’s lawyer told the court her client had spent the last six months turning her life around and was now clean from drugs.

In relation to the charge of aggravated break and enter in company, Ransley has not yet entered a formal plea.

According to police documents tendered to court Ransley and another person allegedly broke into a holiday house at Blueys Beach on October 19 last year and stole a television, bedding and alcohol.

Following her arrest in relation to this incident she was placed on bail but not long after - on November 17 - she was charged with dishonestly obtaining financial advantage and property by deception.

Ransley has pleaded guilty to these two charges which involved using a stolen credit card to buy cigarettes and to gamble $200 via a tabcorp account.

The 22-year-old has also pleaded guilty to a number of driving without a licence offences and a charge of possessing meth (a 1 point street deal estimated to cost between $40 and $50) in September last year.

In relation to the driving and drug charges Ms Hawkins dealt with them by placing Ransley on a 12-month conditional release order but not recording a conviction.

The other matters have been adjourned to April 27.
