Jakahn Crisp from Taree charged with stealing keys to luxury cars on Rawdon Island

A teen has been charged with stealing keys to several luxury cars including a Lamborghini and Ferrari on an exclusive island on the Mid-North Coast.

Luxury vehicles including a Lamborghini and Ferrari were allegedly the target of a break and enter on an island in the Port Macquarie region known for its sprawling multi million dollar homes.

Jakahn Crisp has pleaded not guilty to a charge of aggravated break and enter into a Rawdon Island dwelling in company with the intent to steal in the early hours of October 31 last year.

The island is located west of the town of Port Macquarie on the Hastings River.

The 18-year-old has also been charged with being carried in a vehicle - a Ford Ranger - without the consent of the owner between 9am and 10am on October 31 last year in the Brimbin area north of Taree. He has not entered a plea to this charge.

The aggravated break and enter is alleged to have occurred some time before 6am on October 31.

Crisp had only just turned 18 earlier that month.

According to court documents the Taree teen allegedly entered a home on Rawdon Island with another man and stole keys to a number of luxury vehicles including a 2016 Lamborghini Hurricane 724 and a 2010 Ferrari 458 Italia.

Keys were also allegedly stolen for a 2001 Nissan Skyline GTR V-spec 2 and a 1976 Mazda RX4.

Crisp was granted bail on November 2 last year but attended Taree Local Court on Monday, April 3 to have his bail conditions changed so he could live in the Coutts Crossing area near Grafton.

Magistrate Allison Hawkins granted the variation.

The matter has been adjourned to Port Macquarie Local Court on April 12.

Real estate listings for Rawdon Island where the incident is alleged to have occured boast large executive homes, resort style tropical gardens, large pools and river frontage with pontoons and wharves.

One property currently listed features: ‘enough shedding to house seven cars along with the easy access deepwater frontage and a ramp with floating pontoon that can cater for cruisers up to 40 feet.’
