TV PERSONALITY Lisa Oldfield is out of hospital after a health scare following a serious back operation.
The northern beaches personality, 41, who once had a TV show called The Catch-Up, is set to return to screens in reality show, Real Housewives of Sydney.
She had been discharged from hospital after surgery but was back in medical care over the weekend after promoting the new program.
Husband, former One Nation politician, David Oldfield, appealed on his wife’s Instagram page for her friends to leave her to recover after she landed back at North Shore Private Hospital. He told The Manly Daily the mum of two is now home in Belrose.
“She’s just resting and hopefully she’s on the mend. She had a bit of a downhill couple of days,” he said.
“She still has a bit of pain.”
He confirmed reports that without the operation to replace two disks from her neck with bone from her hip, she could have been paralysed. She’d put that surgery off to launch the TV show — doctors saw her the day before and wanted to operate, but she waited until after the press launch.
Mr Oldfield had posted on Lisa’s Instagram page: “Hi all, it’s Lisa’s husband David. Lisa
underwent very serious surgery last week,”
“Instead of following Dr’s orders and resting, she continued to flit around like a whirling dervish.
“As a result she’s back in hospital and needs 100 per cent bed rest. Please refrain from reaching out to Lisa for the next few weeks. Thanks for your understanding. David, Harry and Bertie.”
