An alleged drug dealer accused of being part of a drug supply ring which sold MDMA, acid and GBL across Sydney has fronted court for the second time.
Leumeah woman Madyson Brooks, 23, has spent almost a fortnight in custody since her arrest, appearing in Campbelltown Local Court by videolink from Silverwater Women’s Correctional Centre.
She was arrested in Leumeah on March 4, alongside the alleged leader of the illegal drug supply ring James Calleja.
On Brooks’s Facebook profile, in the name of Raven Parker, she is listed as being in a relationship with the 34-year-old Calleja, of Bonnyrigg.
He is facing more than 20 charges related to the alleged drug supply ring, which has seen nine people arrested following raids at properties in Leumeah, Cabramatta, Campsie, Berala, Fairfield and Macquarie Park.
The arrests were made following a six-month investigation by Strike Force Hiddenite detectives, investigating the supply of MDMA and LSD in the city’s inner suburbs.
Brooks’s Legal Aid lawyer told the court the Leumeah woman, who is facing two charges of drug supply and participate in a criminal group, was in the process of hiring a private lawyer.
She did not apply for bail and the matter will return to court on March 30.
Calleja, who is remanded in custody, will return to court on May 6.
