A woman who allegedly posed as a nurse and used fake payslips to finance a new car has been arrested in Sydney’s southwest as part of an interstate operation targeting criminal networks.
The 22-year-old was arrested at a Matavai St, Cobbitty, address about 7am on Tuesday, where a Toyota Corolla was seized for forensic examination.
The same Cobbitty property was raided by police last month in which an estimated $1.5 million worth of the drug ‘ice’, a loaded pistol, ammunition and cash was allegedly seized, which led to the arrest of 21-year-old Lone Wolf bikie Vincent Cusumano.
He remains before the courts.
The 22-year-old woman was taken to Narellan Police Station on Tuesday morning and charged with dishonestly obtain property by deception.
Police will allege in court she claimed to be a registered nurse and altered bank records and pay slips to fraudulently finance a new car.
She was granted conditional bail to appear before Picton Local Court in July.
Investigations are ongoing.
