Police have intensified the search to identify those responsible for the death of a teenager at a 16th birthday party in May, releasing a computer-generated image of a person of interest.

Alex Ioane, 18, was allegedly fly-kicked in the head, stomped on and beaten with baseball bats while unconscious at an out-of-control house party in Ingleburn about 9.30pm on May 24.

Police believe there could be up to seven people involved in his death.

Strike Force Faischi, consisting of detectives from Campbelltown Police Area Command, have released a computer-generated image of a man they wish to speak to.

The image is of a muscular Pacific Islander man, aged between 18 and 20, who is believed to have been at the birthday party wearing dark clothing.

He is between 175cm to 185cm tall.

Two males, Tafuna Taumalolo, 18, and an unnamed 17-year-old were arrested from an Eagle Vale property in the days following the incident and charged with murder.

Mr Ioane was standing outside the out-of-control party at an Airbnb property on Chester Rd about 9.30pm when he was allegedly karate kicked to the back of the head by Taumalolo.

Police allege Taumalolo then stomped on the unconscious Mr Ioane. Emergency services were called but the teenager died at the scene.

Mr Ioane’s girlfriend of two years Lyn Lavea said in the days following the bashing: “I’ve never met a guy with a bigger heart than Alex.

“His love towards his family and friends and myself will never go unnoticed. Alex Ioane is the strongest man I know. He is my soldier and I will carry that man within my heart until my casket drops.”

Campbelltown PAC detective sergeant Graeme Napier said the at-large perpetrators should be concerned.

“We want the community to know that no stone will be left unturned in this investigation,” he said.

Police are also appealing to speak to witnesses who have not yet spoken to police or were driving in the area around the time of the fatal bashing and may have dashcam footage.
