El Paso shooting: Gunman’s disturbing conspiracy theory

A 37-year-old man driving a Ford Falcon XR6 sedan has allegedly ripped a burnout in front of police in a Tahmoor carpark on Friday night.

Police officers were called to a carpark on Thirlmere Way, Tahmoor about 11.30pm Friday after reports of burnout activity.

It will be alleged that once officers arrived at the carpark, the Ford Falcon XR6 sedan continued to conduct a burnout.

The 37-year-old man was charged with drive recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerous, drive with low range PCA, and aggravated burnout.

Following a number of incidents across the weekend, Traffic and Highway Patrol Commander assistant commissioner Michael Corboy said behaviour had been unacceptable on the state’s roads.

“A motorist’s selfish decision to speed or drive while under the influence puts not only themselves at risk but the greater community,” he said.

“We are disappointed to see some drivers, including those who are on provisional licences, throwing common sense out of the window and gambling with people’s lives.”

The alleged burnout driver is due to appear at Picton Local Court on September 3.
