A 29-year-old man is in a critical condition after being hit by a car, which allegedly did not stop at a red light, in Sydney’s inner west. An elderly woman was later charged.

A 29-year-old motorcyclist is fighting for his life after being struck by a car which allegedly failed to stop at a red light in Sydney’s inner west.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Crane and Broughton St, Concord, just after 12.30pm on Wednesday following reports of a collision between a car and a motorcycle.
The 29-year-old motorcycle rider was treated by NSW paramedics at the scene before being rushed to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a critical condition.
The 63-year-old driver of the car who allegedly crashed into the motorcyclist was taken to Concord Hospital for mandatory testing.
Police officers established a crime scene which was later examined by specialists from the Crash Investigation Unit.
Following further investigations, the 63-year-old woman was taken to Burwood Police Station and later released on conditional bail with her licence suspended.
She was charged with dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, driving in a dangerous manner, negligent driving and not stopping at a red light’s stop line.
The 63-year-old is due to appear at Burwood Local Court on December 13.
As inquiries into the collision continue, police are urging anyone with information, including dashcam and mobile phone footage of the crash, to contact the Crash Investigation Unit or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
