The team behind Three Birds Renovations have transformed a 1960s cottage into a modern home complete with its own bar in their latest challenge.
The Hills-based renovations team wanted to create a home centred around entertaining and added a wraparound alfresco area, a fully enclosed outdoor raised deck and a luxe indoor bar.
“The whole house is built around entertaining,” team member Lana Taylor said.
The transformation of the Baulkham Hills home, set on a 670 sqm block, is clear from the outset, with a completely new facade.
The facade, which Taylor said was “by far the biggest challenge of the property”, was transformed with a new front deck, a charcoal grey exterior, classic glass French doors, and black and white stripe awnings.
“The scallop edging and the black and white stripe of the Luxaflex Canopy Awnings are the thing that has impressed me the most with this renovation and has transformed the front and added to the street appeal,” said Three Birds creative director Bonnie Hindmarsh.
Inside, the ultra modern home features a master retreat with ensuite, a guest bedroom and a nursery as well as lounge and dining spaces, a kitchen with cafe style seating area and main bathroom.
The interiors were redone with a neutral palette and pops of bold greens and blacks in the kitchen and main bathroom.
