Cornersmith brings pickling workshop to The Ponds
Interested in learning the art of pickling from some of the best in the business? This free workshop is for you.
The ancient technique of pickling has surged back into popularity, becoming a huge food trend over the past few years.
In Marrickville, popular cafe Cornersmith has a retail space dedicated to its pickled products and supplies for preserving at home.
The cafe also runs regular workshops in the art of pickling, preserving and fermenting.
This weekend, foodies will have the opportunity to experience their pickling workshop first hand when a special series begins in The Ponds.
Cornersmith will host three workshops at The Lakes Neighbourhood Centre in collaboration with artist Lauren Brincat as part of the Museum of Contemporary Art’s C3 West program.
The first workshop will be held on June 22 from 2pm until 4pm at the centre on the corner of Spearmint St and Camomile St, and two more will be held on July 6 and August 10.
The workshops are free for residents of Acacia Gardens, Kellyville Ridge, Parklea, Quakers Hill, Riverstone, Rouse Hill, Schofields, Stanhope Gardens and The Ponds.
Places are expected to fill quickly; to book your spot email c3west@mca.com.au and for more information visit the MCA website.
