Six Hills schools put in a strong effort at the Wanderers School Cup finals last week but came away empty-handed.

Kellyville High School, The Ponds High School, St Bernadette’s Primary School, Cherrybrook Technology High School, Model Farms High School and Galston Public School had secured places in the Wanderers School Cup finals at Blacktown Football Park on October 20 after winning their respective qualifying tournaments.

However, it was a tough battle on the day and Galston Public School was the only Hills school to make it to a grand final, losing 3-0 to Mamre Anglican School in the primary school mixed division. Mamre also took out the girls high school final, while Westfield Sports High School won the boys division.

Wanderers chief executive officer John Tsatsimas said the Wanderers School Cup was about inclusivity, enjoyment and a commitment to community engagement.
