A stockpile of 15 guns, including rifles and shotguns, have been reported missing from a home in Baulkham Hills — sparking a police operation to recover them.
A man reported a total of 15 guns and ammunition had gone missing from a storage compartment at his home in Karabil Cres, to police yesterday.
The guns are believed to have gone missing between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning.
A Hills Police Area Command spokesman said an investigation was underway to recover the firearms, which also included several air rifles.
“The storage compartment was damaged, and a crime scene was established,” the spokesman said. “It is a sensitive issue, seeing as the reports are related to missing firearms.
“Detectives are making inquiries into the incident and at this stage we are winding up the investigations.”
