Guns and drugs in the post: how Aussies are getting busted

Two western Sydney men have appeared in court today after being charged with aggravated break and enter — which included the theft of a small arsenal of guns.

Ben Flowers, 29, from Blackett and Adam Griffith, 35, from Blacktown were arrested and charged by strike force Ilet over their alleged involvement in the frightening break and enter of a home in Sydney’s northwest.

Police alleged the 29-year-old and 35-year-old men broke into a home on Havelock St, McGraths Hill, in the early hours of Tuesday morning and stole 12 firearms, power tools, a motorcycle and a Toyota Hilux.

However, during the frighting aggravated break and enter, a family of four with young children were asleep inside the house.

Strike Force Ilet, made up of Hawkesbury Police Area Command and the State Crime Command’s Robbery and Serious Crime Squad, arrested the two men with the help of the Tactical Operations Unit on Wednesday afternoon — following raids of two homes on Bolderwood Rd, Blackett, and Pank Pde, Blacktown.
