A massive child care centre could soon be coming to Box Hill to cater for an influx of families moving to the rapidly growing area.
Development plans, valued at $1.9 million, have been lodged for a 97-place childcare centre at 35-41 Boundary Rd in the semi rural area.
The two-storey facility would feature “inclusive learning” spaces, craft stations and outdoor playgrounds.
“The proposal will provide a valuable role in increasing valuable child care places to the new residential estates currently being developed within Box Hill,” planning documents stated.
The bulk of places will be for kids aged 3-6 years.
There will also be 25 places for children aged 2-3 years and 12 places for those under two-years old.
Multiple childcare centres have also been proposed in Box Hill including two facilities on Old Pitt Town Rd.
