A mega $51 million housing estate featuring almost 200 homes could soon be popping up in the heart of Box Hill, one of NSW’s fastest growing areas.

Major developer Bathla Group has lodged plans with The Hills Shire Council to build 198 residential homes, comprising of 65 single houses and 132 semi-detached buildings, at 35-39 Terry Road.

The proposed development, to cost $51.7 million, will be just 180m away from Box Hill city centre and less than 5km from the bustling Rouse Hill shopping centre.

The homes will stand two storeys high and include a mix of one to three bedrooms.

Planning documents reveal the proposed development would: “(provide a) future mix of dwelling types and sizes in a new residential area”.

If approved, the estate would be constructed in three stages beginning with the first stage of 198 homes.

Bathla Group has been approached for comment.
