Castle Hill Bowling Club, well-known for its bowling competitions and the popular Barefoot Bowls, also serves dinner in its bistro on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
Shane Faust heads up the kitchen, serving classic favourites like chicken schnitzel side-by-side with restaurant-quality daily specials, such as confit duck.
It is the type of place where staff greet you with a warm smile on arrival and regulars know each other by name.
The family-friendly club holds regular community events such as its free open mic night for under 18s on October 2nd and November 4.
The club will also host The Fashion Circle’s preloved children’s clothing market on October 16 from 10am-1pm, and a Melbourne Cup lunch on October 1.
Now is the perfect time for new visitors to join the club, with its corporate bowls competition starting from October 13.
Teams of three can join the competition on Thursday nights from 5.45pm-7pm followed by drinks and a meal in the bistro. Email corporatebowls@outlook.com for details.
