The cyclist said he was forced to ride to the station due to a lack of parking and cuts to bus services across The Hills.

A cyclist has hit out at Transport for NSW and Sydney Metro for failing to lock a bike cage at Tallawong Station, resulting in the theft of his $1000 bike.
Ponds resident Amit Garg, 39, locked his Twitter E-Bike at the newly-opened Metro station before jumping on a train on Thursday morning last week.
When he returned about 7.30pm, he discovered his lock had been cut and the bike stolen.
“Usually these bike cages are locked at each station,” he said.
“And unless you have a registered Opal card, you cannot access them.”
Mr Garg blamed Sydney Metro for the theft of his bike “because it wouldn’t have been stolen if the bike cage was locked”.

“I bought the bike in January for $1100 and was riding to the station four times a week before it was stolen,” he said.
“The main reason I ride the bike was the fact that there is no parking and buses have been cancelled.”
Mr Garg said he reported the bike as stolen to Police and Sydney Metro station staff.
“I made a lost property complaint but they didn’t elaborate on what more they can do,” he said.
A Sydney Metro spokeswoman confirmed an opal card is not required to access the bike cage.
“Sydney Metro has been advised by Metro Trains Sydney, the operator of the Metro North West Line, that security cameras monitor the Tallawong car park as well as the area outside the bike cage,” the spokeswoman said.
“Sydney Metro has asked MTS to further investigate this issue.”
