Truck rolls into Leddays Creek carrying 20,000 litres of liquid waste

Hazmat crews have been called to Stotts Creek on Monday morning to try to prevent any environmental damage after a truck rolled into Leddays Creek.

A truck carrying 20,000 litres of liquid waste has rolled off Leddays Creek Rd and into Leddays creek early Monday morning.

Just before 7am Fire and Rescue and NSW Ambulance personnel attended the scene at Stotts Creek.

A NSW Ambulance spokesman said the driver, a man in his 60s, suffered minor injuries from the incident before he was taken to The Tweed Hospital in a stable condition.

Fire and Rescue NSW said Hazmat crews attended the scene and placed booms to contain any spillage.
