Wildest Aussie dashcam accidents

A woman in her 30s has escaped a dramatic incident unscathed after she was found in her car hanging off the edge of an embankment.

NSW Fire and Rescue and ambulance crews were called to Lakeview Parade in Tweed Heads South just before 1.30pm on Tuesday where the woman’s van was teetering on the edge of an embankment.

A NSW Ambulance spokesman said the van had slipped off a driveway, along the street and off the edge.

Crews from the Tweed Heads and Banora Point fire stations, along with the Volunteer Rescue Association, used winches to stabilise the vehicle.

The van was secured and the woman was able to get out uninjured.

She did not require further medical attention.
