Bruxner Highway crash: Driver dies in Gold Coast hospital
A 21-year-old man has died after being freed from the wreckage of a serious crash on the Bruxner Highway.

A man died after a crash on the Bruxner Highway.
NSW Police confirmed a Holden Commodore sedan and Mazda BT50 utility collided on the Bruxner Highway in Alstonville about 3.15pm Tuesday.
A 21-year-old man who was driving the Holden was trapped for a short time before he was released by emergency services.
He was flown to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition, where he later died.
A 47 year-old man who was driving the Mazda was taken to Lismore Base Hospital for treatment to minor injuries.
A NSW Ambulance spokesman said they were called to the scene near Duck Creek Mountain Road, between West Ballina and Alstonville.
That man was initially trapped in his vehicle before being stabilised on scene.
Officers attached to Richmond Police District established a crime scene and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is under way.
