Grand Parade Casuarina development lodged before Tweed Shire Council

Tweed’s high-end apartment market is about to hit new heights with a major developer revealing plans for a prime 91 apartment complex to the tune of over $66 million.

Brisbane based developers Azure Project 35 Pty Ltd lodged a development application for a four-storey, medium density residential complex on 6 Grand Parade, Casuarina.

The project due to the estimated price tag of $66,575,000 will proceed before the Northern Regional Planning Panel but Tweed Shire residents have been given their first glimpse at the application.

The site resides in the Casuarina town centre and the application boasts a “high quality” development that will be an “iconic addition” to the region.

With reference to “coastal colonial architecture”, the proposal notes the four building site will house a range of two, three and four bedroom apartments along with “a communal ‘oasis’ and recreation zone”.

Such luxuries include a gym/yoga area, spa, sauna, library, swimming pool and poolside cabanas are advertised to “promote a healthy wellness lifestyle for residents”.

The application notes “subtropical” plants will be planted across the full perimeter of the street frontage to add to character and provide privacy.

The site would have a total of 199 carparks plus an additional 23 for visitors.

A development advice panel meeting was held with Tweed Shire Council on February 25 where council identified through the Development Advice Panel meeting support ‘in principle’ for a four storey residential complex.

It comes as a $75 million 47-unit apartment complex next door at 5 Grand Parade was approved on May 26.

Azure Project 35 Pty Ltd are known for their exclusive living including the Emerson Edition complex in Brisbane’s Cannon Hill and Hendra’s Eton Edition.
