Tweed police charge teen over alleged Murwillumbah pharmacy robberies
Police have charged a teen alleged to have robbed two Murwillumbah pharmacies after handing staff threatening notes.

A teen has been charged over his alleged role in two Tweed Shire pharmacy robberies.
Police will allege a Murwillumbah Main St pharmacy was targeted by a boy in a black hooded jumper, face mask, gloves and backpack on July 5 at about 2.10pm.
They will allege he handed pharmacy staff a threatening note before leaving with prescription drugs.
Police were then called to a King St pharmacy on Wednesday July 6 when a boy wearing a hoodie over his head and carrying a light-coloured calico backpack allegedly passed a threatening note to staff and stole a quantity of prescription drugs.
He was allegedly sighted walking under the Wollumbin Street bridge.
On Thursday, Tweed/Byron Police arrested a teen at a Murwillumbah address.
He was later charged with two counts of robbery.
The teen was refused bail and appeared at Tweed Heads Children’s Court on July 8 when he was given conditional bail.
He will appear before court again on July 20.
