Westpac Rescue Helicopter called after two teens fall from a utility vehicle

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by New South Wales Ambulance on the primary mission on Saturday and one person was flown to Lismore Base Hospital.

Update 1pm: NSW Police has confirmed that just after 4.40pm on Saturday, emergency services were called to Plains Station Rd, Mookima Wybra (77Km south west of Casino and 20Km south of Tabulam), after reports that two passengers had fallen from a vehicle.

“The passengers, two boys aged 15 and 17, suffered abrasions and lacerations,” a spokeswoman said.

“They were treated by paramedics and both transported to Lismore Base Hospital. The driver of the Holden utility, a 17-year-old boy, was spoken to by police.”

Inquiries regarding the incident continue.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by New South Wales Ambulance at around 5.20pm Saturday afternoon on a primary mission to Clarence Way at Tabulam, approximately 65 Km west of Casino.

A 17-year-old male sustained chest injuries and multiple lacerations, while the other person sustained minor injuries.

The patients were treated on scene by paramedics and the Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team.

The 17-year-old male was flown to Lismore Base Hospital.

The second patient taken by road ambulance to the same hospital.

Both patients were in a stable condition.

In an unrelated incident, a 13-year-old girl was trampled by a bull in Tabulam on Saturday at an event.
