School leavers from Richmond River High School have celebrated their formal at the Lismore Workers Club with family, friends, peers and loved ones.

The young ladies were glamorous, adorned in sleeveless full length gowns in reds, blues, and pinks.

The gents mixed up their suits with bright ties and handkerchiefs with a bohemian flavour added in.

They arrived at the club on Tuesday evening in an array of vehicles from Australian muscle car classics like the Ford Cobra coupe to the Holden SLR5000 Torana.

Other memorable rides included a gorgeous silver Dodge Bel-Air low-rider with its hydraulic lift kit, a mini-moke, vintage T-Ford and also an impressive line-up of classic Holdens like the EH and Monaro.

There were also some newer Ford Mustangs and a hot red Corvette.

Richmond River High Year 12 adviser Scott Allen posted on the school’s Facebook page that the formal was a great success.

“Congratulations Year 12. It was wonderful to see everyone dressed up and sharing this occasion with family and friends,” Mr Allen wrote.

“Thank you, Ms Sulek and helpers, for your co-ordination and organisation of this event, during the ever-changing Covid-19 conditions.

“A great way for Year 12 to finish school, we wish you all the best in the future.”
