Three people aged between 18 and 47 have faced court in relation to the alleged horrific stabbing murder of Ned Gronow in northern NSW.

The three people charged in relation to the alleged horrific stabbing murder of Casino teenager Ned Gronow have faced court as mystery surrounds the circumstances of the alleged slaying.

Rayne William Aylward, 18, Tanner Park, 18 and Kye Douglous Aylward, 47, faced Lismore Local Court on Wednesday.

Rayne Aylward has been charged with stabbing Ned in the neck and murdering him in Casino on June 25 last year.

Police have stated officers were called to a home on McDougall St at Casino about 1.20am on the day and found Ned suffering from stab wounds to his neck.

He could not be saved, despite the efforts of Richmond Police officers and NSW Ambulance paramedics. Ned’s parents were home at the time and assisted officers, police have stated.

Police have not yet revealed in court what officers believed occurred in the lead up to Ned’s death.

Kye Douglas Aylward, from Ulmarra, has been charged with accessory after the fact to murder and concealing a serious indictable offence.

Kye Aylward is Rayne Aylward’s father.

Police allege Aylward senior harboured, maintained and assisted his son – allegedly knowing he had murdered Ned – between June 25 and June 27 last year.

Park has been charged with concealing a serious indictable offence – the alleged murder.

Rayne Aylward faces life in prison, if found guilty.

All three were absent from court, however, the public gallery was filled with friends and family of Ned, who said they wanted to demonstrate their desire for justice.

The three co-accused will face Lismore Local Court again on March 15 as the case progresses.

Rayne and Kye Aylward were in custody and are due to appear via videolink, while Park was on bail and is expected to be legally represented and excused from attending

Tanner was confronted by family and friends of Ned when he faced the court back on November 28.

He was chased down Zodac and Molesworth streets by media on the day, holding his hands over his face to obscure his identity.
