A teenager fell from a car being driven along an Evans Head beach on Sunday night.

Two NSW Ambulance crews responded to a call just after 9pm after reports a teenager had injured himself in a fall.

The 17-year-old fell from the rear of a vehicle being driven along Airforce Beach.

Paramedics treated him before requesting assistance from the critical care team of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.

The helicopter Critical Care Medical Team stabilised the 17-year-old and he was flown to the Lismore Base Hospital suffering from abrasions and a suspected head injury.

This comes after a busy weekend with the Westpac rescue helicopter airlifting ten people across northern NSW.
