Crash blocks southbound lanes on Pacific Motorway near Brunswick Heads
A young woman has been freed from a car and rushed to hospital after a nasty crash on the Pacific Motorway in northern NSW. Several lanes were closed, causing extensive traffic delays.

A young woman has been freed from a car and rushed to hospital after a nasty crash on the Pacific Motorway near Brunswick Heads.
Emergency services were called to the motorway near the Tandys Ln exit about 11.30am after reports of a crash in the southbound lanes.
Paramedics treated a woman in her early 20s at the scene for multiple injuries who was trapped inside her car.
The woman was stabilised by Westpac helicopter critical care medical team then flown to the Gold Coast University Hospital.
Transport for NSW said significant delays were expected with drivers urged to reduce speed and exercise caution.
Diversions were temporarily put in place while the wreckage was cleared.
At time of publishing, the motorway has been reopened but delays are still heavy.
